I am in the home stretch with Forest of the Sasquatch 4. Final edits are happening now, and I am making sure everything is polished before release.
This book has tested me more than any other in the series, with much more of the story told from the Sasquatch point of view. Writing from their perspective has been a unique challenge. Because this is fiction, I could stretch reality a little, but I still had to be careful not to slip into too much anthropomorphism. I wanted to get across what they were thinking and saying while keeping it primal. Not an easy task, and certainly not to this extent. It has stretched me as a writer, but I have learned a lot along the way. I guess we cannot truly grow without a challenge. 😁
When I first started writing Forest of the Sasquatch, I had no idea it would grow into a full saga. What began as a single book quickly took on a life of its own. Readers connected with the story, the characters, and the world, and I felt compelled to keep exploring it. From Levi’s desperate run for survival, to Rob’s captivity and rescue, to Aluk’s rise and fall, the series has followed both humans and Sasquatch through moments of terror, grief, and resilience.
Now it all leads here.
The unforgettable finale to the Forest of the Sasquatch saga begins here.
After the carnage in Duluth, the survivors of the southern Sasquatch clan are scattered and broken. Grief and near-decimation force them out of Superior National Forest and into a brutal westward trek. Deep snow hides treacherous ground, rivers run black beneath thin ice, and rival Sasquatch and prowling predators stalk the same scarce prey. Every step forward is a battle.
The journey strains their resolve, frays their tempers, and tests bonds that may be the only thing keeping them alive. In the heart of this unforgiving wilderness, Matto makes a choice to stop running and claim a place for what remains of his clan. That decision comes with consequences. Can he rise as the leader they need, or will he watch the last of his clan die around him?

Reaching this point feels bittersweet. Closing out the Forest of the Sasquatch saga has been both rewarding and emotional. These books took on a life of their own, and I never could have imagined the journey they would take me on. What has made it truly special, though, has been sharing that journey with you.
If you have been following the series from the very beginning, you know how far these stories have come. If you only just discovered them recently, welcome to the adventure.
Either way, I am grateful for every reader who picked up one of these books, left a review, sent me a message, or simply got lost in the world for a while. Your support has turned what was once a single story into something much bigger than I ever expected.
